This program-specific academic and examination regulations (Fachprüfungs- und Studienordnung: FPSO) define the structure of the program, including the modules and requirements that students must complete to successfully graduate. Only the officially published German version is legally binding.

Study plan
These sample study plan indicates the recommended sequence, the credits for each module and what should be completed in each semester to meet program requirements based on academic progress check. Students are encouraged to adapt the plan to their individual interests and intended specialization. While following the sequence is advised due to the lab-oriented nature of the program; however, the choice of modules ultimately depends on each student’s interests. For detailed descriptions of each module, please refer to the Module Catalog.

Employment opportunities:
If you have a residence permit for study purposes, you can work up to 140 full days or 280 half days per year. This includes part-time student jobs. Further information on “Working during your studies” is available (German only).
Note: The MSMCD program does not require a separate internship. Taking a part-time job or internship is the student’s own decision and cannot be recognized as part of the degree program.
