- A list of courses you are currently attending in the winter semester 2025/26 and those you expect to attend at TUM in the summer semester 2026.
- A list of courses you plan to take at each partner university abroad (course selection may still change before your stay abroad; this is just an initial estimate). Please provide courses amounting to 30 ECTS per preferred university.
Please also submit the documents by email within the deadline (to: outgoing-ece(at)cit.tum.de).
Only complete applications will be processed.
Important remarks: All Erasmus+ and Swiss Mobility agreements at TUM are listed on the online platform. Make sure you only apply for spots designated to Electrical and Computer Engineering students. Please also keep the login details you entered when applying. You will need them again later.

Once you have been offered a spot and have accepted it, the Student Exchange Coordinator will nominate you to the partner university abroad in good time. After your nomination, you will usually get an email from the partner university informing you about the application process, courses offered, language requirements, housing options, etc. However, please keep an eye on the application deadlines yourself.
We will also nominate you to the TUM Global & Alumni Office. The responsible contact persons there will then email you in May/June with information about the documents required for the Erasmus+ program. You will also receive an invitation to the Moodle course, which is mandatory for all Erasmus+ exchange students.
You may only select courses from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department and from your respective level of studies (bachelor's/master's). Some partner universities run a four-year bachelor's program, which means TUM master's students may also take courses from the fourth year of the bachelor's program.
To receive the Erasmus+/Swiss Mobility grant, you need to pass specialized courses worth 10 ECTS at the respective partner university abroad.
Some partner universities have requirements regarding the minimum or maximum number of ECTS you must earn during your studies abroad (usually between 20 and 30 ECTS per semester). In addition, there are often restrictions on taking courses offered by departments/faculties/schools other than the one you are attending as part of the Erasmus+ program. It is your responsibility to find out about the relevant requirements and take them into account when choosing your courses.
The Learning Agreement (LA) is the list of courses you would like to take at the partner university. It should be prepared well before the beginning of the study abroad stay. As a learning agreement between the student, the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology, and the host university, the LA is the foundation for the later transfer of credits earned abroad.
In most cases, an Online Learning Agreement (OLA) is created digitally and confirmed by all three parties. Our guide contains important advice and information on how to correctly fill in a LA or OLA.
It is your responsibility to apply for the transfer of credits earned at the partner university when you return from your studies abroad. Further information can be found under Credit Transfer in the subject area Electrical and Computer Engineering.
