Open Day at the Garching Research Campus

On October 3, 2026 from 10 am to 5 pm, the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology on the Garching research campus will open its doors to all interested parties. Find out what we are researching and what studying with us can look like. Discover our research areas up close.

Throughout the Garching research campus, you can experience science in lectures, hands-on activities, guided tours, and much more. Whether young or old, there are numerous activities on offer for every target group on this day. In addition to TUM, many other research institutions, such as the Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes, are participating in the event.

Martin Schulz Elected General Chair of the SC28 Conference

Martin Schulz, professor at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology, will be General Chair of the International Conference on High-Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis 2028 (SC28). He is the second non-US American to hold this position.
