To mark the “150 Years of Electrical and Computer Engineering at TUM” anniversary, the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology is presenting the multi-award-winning web series “Technically Single” at one of its original filming locations. The venue itself is part of the story: numerous scenes were filmed in the Carl-von-Linde-Hörsaal 0502.01.200 on TUM’s Downtown Campus, where the series will now be screened as part of the anniversary celebrations. Join us for an entertaining glimpse into campus life and a look back at a chapter in the recent history of Electrical and Computer Engineering at TUM.
The series centers on electrical engineering student Juli (Alina Stigler), who navigates lectures, exams and the challenges of everyday student life while finding her own path. Developed by Professor Klaus Diepold, former Senior Vice President for Talent Management and Diversity at TUM, the series was filmed almost entirely on location at the Downtown Campus in Munich. In addition to Lecture Hall 1200, viewers will recognize other familiar campus settings, including the library and the StuCafé. Featuring Maria Furtwängler in the role of a professor, the production combines university life, academia and entertainment in a unique way, showcasing TUM from a perspective that will feel familiar to students, alumni and staff alike.
