In the current CHE ranking, the Technical University of Munich receives outstanding evaluations in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In particular, the quality of teaching, student support, and the IT and library infrastructure are rated very positively by the students.

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is ranked among the top 20 worldwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for the first time, placing 18th in Natural Sciences and 19th in Engineering & Technology. Additionally, it ranks among the top 50 universities in 12 subjects.

In the Central Electronics and Information Technology Lab (ZEITlab) of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT), a new large-scale instrument was inaugurated at a ceremony on January 30, 2025. It was sponsored by the company Rohde & Schwarz.
