Rückert has been holding the Chair of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and Medicine at the Technical University of Munich since 2020. He is a member of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology and the TUM School of Medicine and Health. His research focuses on the development and application of AI methods to analyze medical image data and to support clinical decision-making processes.
The Royal Society was founded in 1660 and is the UK's national academy of science. It currently has around 1,700 Fellows and Foreign Members, including numerous Nobel Prize winners. The society promotes excellent research, supports international scientific cooperation, and advises politics and society on scientific issues. Election as a Fellow is for life and is considered one of the highest scientific honors in the English-speaking world.
