Based on the study plans, you can see how the four semesters of the Master's program are composed. For details on the courses, please click directly on the modules in the table. In addition to the modules listed in the plans, modules from the area of Support Electives and an Interdisciplinary Project must be taken.
Examination Rules from WS 2018/19
The following rules apply to students who started in the winter term 2018/19 or later:

** Theory modules: at least 10 credits from "Theory" modules must be earned. The "Theory" modules can be found in the study tree in the respective subject area under Theory. These modules can also be assigned to different subject areas and do not have to be in the focus area or one of the other two subject areas.
Theory modules: at least 10 credits from "Theory" focus area with at least 18 credits and two supplementary areas with at least 8 credits each, you can take another 9 credits (or 19 credits, see profiling) in any subject areas. Excess credits in the three chosen subject areas automatically count towards the "free elective".
*** These variants of the study plan are used for profile formation (research, practice (in-depth) or fundamentals).
**** Any Master's internship that is announced in TUMonline with IN2106 and has not yet been brought in as a Master's internship can be selected as an additional Master's internship.

Schwerpunktgebiet mit mindestens 18 Credits und zwei Ergänzungsgebiete mit jeweils mindestens 8 Credits, weitere 9 Credits (bzw. 19 Credits, siehe Profilbildung) können Sie in beliebigen Fachgebieten erbringen. Überschüssige Credits in den drei gewählten Fachgebieten zählen automatisch zu dem "freien Wahlbereich".
*** Diese Varianten des Studienplans dienen der Profilbildung (Forschung, Praxis (verteieft) bzw. Grundlagen).
**** Als zusätzliches Master-Praktikum kann jedes Master-Praktikum, das in TUMonline mit IN2106 angekündigt wird und noch nicht als Master-Praktikum eingebracht wurde, gewählt werden.
