Women in CIT Travel Awards Program 2025!
The Women in CIT Travel Awards Program 2025 opens new doors! There will be three main areas of focus to empower women for Bachelor, Master and PhD students at CIT.
1. Women in CIT travel awards - support for students attending conferences:
Students are again encouraged to attend conferences that focus on gender equality for all genders in STEM subjects. This offers an excellent opportunity to network and gain new perspectives.

2. Women in CIT PhD travel awards - support for female PhD students at scientific conferences:
To ensure that female PhD students have the opportunity to present their research at scientific conferences and exchange ideas with other professionals. Participation in specialist conferences is therefore supported.

3. Invitation of potential female doctoral candidates from Germany to CIT:
Talented women are encouraged to continue their academic career as PhD students at TUM. Therefore, the CIT offers a special recruitment program for female doctoral candidates. Chairs can invite potential female doctoral candidates to the CIT so that they can get to know the chair and their future team personally. Travel and accommodation costs to the CIT are paid via the Women in CIT travel awards.

Three Women in CIT awardees attended WE24
Three Women in CIT awardees attended WE24: Together We Rise, the world's largest conference for women in engineering and technology in Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 24-26. Not surprisingly, they had a great time and came back inspired.
Four 2024 CIT Diversity Awardees Take Gold at the WomENcourage Conference Hackathon
Six awardees of the CIT Diversity Awards attended the WomENcourage conference in Madrid, Spain. The awardees travel expenses and conference fees were financed by the TUM Gender & Diversity Incentive Fund. Four of the awardees won the conference hackathon with their concept “EndoAI”, a platform that gives patients health information and guidance about endocrinology concerns. Among 12 other teams they took first place as part of the 5-person group Digital Divas.
Recruiting the next generation
As part of the TUM Entdeckerinnnen program, a diverse set of lectures and workshops has held for a group of high-school girls.
Women in CIT Diversity Awards Program
The CIT is pleased to introduce the Women in CIT Diversity Awards program, launching right here in Munich with WE local Munich, hosted by the Society of Women Engineers at the Paulaner am Nockherberg on April 25-26, 2024.
The Women in CIT Diversity Awards program serves as both a reward and an incentive for CIT Bachelor, Master, and PhD students of all genders engaged in promoting STEM careers for women.

Join the CIT at the German Diversity Day on May 28!
Drop by our booth from 11-14:00 at the MIT Building in Garching to share your story as well as your ideas and experiences about diversity with us.
You will also be able to get to know what the TUM School of CIT has to offer in regards to Equality, Integration and Diversity as well as get to know like-minded individuals.
For your entertainment you will have the ability to design your own T-Shirts and for your physical well being snacks will be provided.
