Former TUM mathematics student Marta Piperno has been awarded the Master’s Thesis Prize of the German Operations Research Society (GOR). In her thesis, she deals with the development and analysis of algorithms for complex online scheduling problems.

Josef A. Nossek, Emeritus of Excellence at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), has been awarded the prestigious IEEE CASS Vitold Belevitch Circuits and Systems Award 2025.

The German Research Foundation (DFG) has accepted Amr Alanwar, Professor of Cyber-Physical Systems, into its prestigious Emmy Noether Program. His research into logical zonotopes enables more efficient calculations in various applications, including digital circuits.
