The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is one of the world's top 25 universities in computer sciences, natural sciences and engineering. This is the result of the latest subject rankings published by the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE).

Each year, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of candidates after a rigorous evaluation process. Less than 0.1% of the voting members are selected for this honorary status.

TUM is the strongest research university in business administration in Germany. Helmut Krcmar, Martin Bichler and Ali Sunyaev from the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology are represented in the categories of strongest researcher and most significant lifetime achievement.
