Modules are generally offered alternately in the summer and winter semesters, whereas the range of elective modules in the various fields is constantly evolving. Please find the current semester offerings in TUMonline. Enrolled students will find their own curriculum (Curriculum Support) at the top of the Academic and Student Affairs menu under Study Status / Curriculum.
Make sure to check out B.Sc. Information Engineering module handbook. Please note: The language course offerings can be found in this separate file.
*) At the end of the first semester, at least two of the four introductory modules of the first semester indicated by * must be successfully completed. A repeat exam is held at the end of the winter semester/start of the summer semester. There is no resit option in the summer semester because these courses are only offered in the winter semester.
Furthermore, a certain number of ECTS credits must be earned each semester starting in the third semester. Monitoring of academic progress & credit hurdles
Language Courses
You have the opportunity to complete language courses and thereby obtain credits (a maximum of 6 ECTS out of a total of 9 ECTS in Electives in General Studies).
- Courses from your study tree: You can take a course at the TUM Language Center. In your study tree in TUMonline (see above) you will find courses that can be recognized for your curriculum.
- German course on site: At the TUM Campus Heilbronn, German courses are also offered by external language schools, which you are welcome to attend. However, we cannot accept credits for these courses. The only exception is the German courses offered by AIM. If you successfully complete a German course there, you can apply for recognition of your German language qualifications. Generally, the same rules apply as for courses offered by the TUM Language Center. Please contact our Student Service Point if you are interested in these courses.
- Courses at the TUM Language Center:
- You can also independently search for courses at the TUM Language Center and take them. Please note: All language courses at the TUM Language Center - with the exception of English courses of all levels and German courses below B1 level - can be recognized for your curriculum.
- Please make sure that the courses are feasible for you. This means they should either be online or, if you register for a course in Munich or Garching: it should be logistically possible for you to join them there.
