'Auslandsbafoeg'
Grants from federal funds for living costs, travel expenses and tuition fees. Parents' allowances are higher than for 'Inlandsbafoeg'!
DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) - Scholarships
The German Academic Exchange Service supports German students with a large number of well-funded scholarships for a wide variety of international projects.
ERASMUS+ Program
The ERASMUS+ program includes tuition fee waivers and simplified admission requirements as well as a partial scholarship.
IFI - 'Internationale Forschungsaufenthalte für Informatikerinnen & Informatiker'
With its "IFI" programme, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in cooperation with leading international research institutions, supports research stays for postdocs and doctoral students in the field of AI, computer science and related areas. Postdocs have the opportunity to realise projects with a duration of up to two years. Doctoral students can carry out research work for a period of one to twelve months
PROMOS for short-term stays abroad
This program aims at increasing the mobility of German students funding them with a short-term scholarship up to six months.
Fulbright
The highly prestigious Fulbright program provides very well-funded full, partial and travel scholarships for study stays in the USA. You have to apply for it 1,5 years before your stay starts!
Federation of German-American Clubs (VDAC)
The Federation of German-American Clubs e.V. offers full scholarships for a number of universities in the USA. You have to apply 1,5 years before your stay abroad starts.
