Join us for TUM Entrepreneurship Day on June 26, 2025! Discover startups, network with innovators, and explore the TUM ecosystem: all day from 09:00 to 21:00 at the main campus, Arcisstraße 21.

The online information session "Studying Abroad" will take place every Tuesday at 6:00 PM from May 13 to June 3, 2025. Learn everything about study abroad opportunities for Computer Science and Mathematics.

Mathematics is essential in almost all degree programs at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In the future, an e-learning platform will enable students to learn online. This project headed by Dr. Florian Lindemann from the Department of Mathematics has been running since March 2025.

The TUM 1,000+ project week connects science and business: students work for five days in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), solve real business problems, and gain insights into company culture and challenges. They discover potential future employers.

The workshop will take place on October 6 and 7 at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. It is aimed at academics with an interest in actuarial science and mathematical finance and professionals from related fields such as actuaries, risk managers and financial engineers.

Murad Alim has started as professor of Quantum Geometry at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) in February 2025. In our “New@CIT” series, he talks about his research, the search for unknown equations and his performance at a science slam.

In the current CHE ranking, the Technical University of Munich receives outstanding evaluations in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In particular, the quality of teaching, student support, and the IT and library infrastructure are rated very positively by the students.

Stephan Krusche is a professor of Applied Education Technologies at TUM. He develops practical learning platforms like Artemis with the AI chatbot Iris to support students in their learning – with real educational value instead of just giving them the answers.

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is ranked among the top 20 worldwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for the first time, placing 18th in Natural Sciences and 19th in Engineering & Technology. Additionally, it ranks among the top 50 universities in 12 subjects.

In the Central Electronics and Information Technology Lab (ZEITlab) of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT), a new large-scale instrument was inaugurated at a ceremony on January 30, 2025. It was sponsored by the company Rohde & Schwarz.

Prof. Hussam Amrouch and his team at TUM have developed a groundbreaking AI chip: “AI Pro” operates locally, is cyber-secure, and up to ten times more energy-efficient – all without any cloud connection, thanks to its neuromorphic architecture.

Researchers from the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology have developed a method to cryptographically prove one’s location without revealing personal data. Using zero-knowledge proofs, they protect privacy when handling sensitive location information.
